S2 and Imagine Dragons rock at the Billboard Music Awards
Yesterday evening in the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, the 2018 edition of the Billboard Music Awards took place, the evening for the award ceremony by the renowned American magazine. Events like these are, as you know, almost completely free of popular songs and hip-hop today, but among the various Ed Sheeran and Kendrick Lamar - six trophies each - there are also two bands who share the record in terms of victories in the rock categories of the evening.
Recently started for the "Experience + Innocence Tour", which will take them to Italy with four dates at the Mediolanum Forum in Assago (22.214.171.124.), U2 have prevailed in the category "Top Touring Artist " on Koldplay, Guns N'Roses, Bruno Mars and Ed Sheeran, while "Top Rock Tour" always on Koldplay and GN'R.
Imagine, Dragons, for them just an Italian date on September 6th in Milan for Milano Rocks, have instead confirmed themselves as the enormous record success they win in the category "Top Duo/Group", only against U2, in this "Top Rock Artist", where they overtook Linkin Park, Tom Petty & Heartbreakers, Portugal, The Man and 21 drivers.
Obviously, Dan Reynolds' group closed the evening with the "Top Rock Album" award for "EVOLVE" in their pocket by standing over Linkin Park, Panic! In Disco, Portugal, The Man and again the U2 and the one from "Top Rock Song" with 'Believer', category in which they competed with up to two out of five nominated tracks, they couldn't omit a song like 'Thunder'.
