Briggs is a hardcore-punkCalifornian melodic act founded in 2001. Briggs were born in Southern California in 2001 as a skatepunk group. Originally called "I Called" and renamed because the name belonged to another group, The Briggs released 3 albums and 2 EPs, almost all of which were released on the SideOneDummy Records label, and maintained a constant line-up, with the exception of bassist Duck Matthews, replaced by Ryan Roberts.
Their musical style is considered a mixture of the classic punk of The Clash, Stiff Little Fingers, Billy Bragg, the Street Punk of Cock Sparrer and the Punk-Revival Rancid. It is materially impossible to have an overall view in this intangible ocean, and every play list will inevitably be the result of mastery listening. The electronic world has long been the subject of streamlined sound intrusions and in some cases is beginning to yield to the formats demanded by the mass entertainment industry to channel music into commercial production channels.
However, its predominantly instrumental nature has made it possible to coagulate a system that is mainly fed from the underground and from its own production.
