Langsame Musik, a program for Amazon la muzica
From now on, Slow Music is a name you have to get to know well, especially if you love good music that doesn't have to be "cooked & eaten", but consumed as fast as a sandwich. Slow Music's goals are ambitious: to be a driving force for creativity and opportunities to foster talent by creating a network of linear, transparent and unified collaboration in the creation and organization of quality and beauty experiences involving institutions, artists and enthusiasts.
The tools Slow Music has at its disposal to achieve its goals are events, professional training and initiatives to alleviate social hardship. The official presentation of this project took place yesterday in a crowded Sala De Donato, the largest room of the Politecnico di Milano. In short, Slow Music founds its philosophy of fairness and ethics through educational and training programs related to music, making music, listening to it thoroughly, managing projects and events that have a fair relationship with users.
Founder and president of the association, Claudio Trotta, concluded his passionate speech with the words: "Slow Music is you. In fact, at the grassroots level there is a desire to draw attention to the audience and its needs, often trampled underfoot by a spectacle of mere numbers, not excellence, which still exists and which, in spite of everything, shape the world of music.
Carlo Petrini, founder and president of Slow Food (whose core values are clearly the inspiration of Slow Music), delivered a truly appealing speech: he gave some valuable practical suggestions, shared his personal experience and invited the newly formed association to be "integrative, a link between past and modern" and to "see the community as a future because it is based on emotional security and not on rational intelligence".
The soul of the CPM, Franco Mussida, an international musician who has been working intensively on social issues for years, stressed the importance of presenting the Slow Music project at a university, as it promotes direct contact with students, which is one of the main objectives of the association. Equally important is to "use" music to alleviate social inconvenience.
His thought is perfectly summarized in the motto "Music as a means of service and communication of affection". The speech by journalist Fabrizio Gatti, who described the "dissociation from reality" as a negative element in the speed of communication and technology, was also fascinating: "Someone on the derailed train in Pioltello had two and a half minutes before he crashed a few days ago.
Filippo Del Corno, Councilor for Culture of the City of Milan, Prof. Augusto Sarti, representing the Polytechnic of Milan, Stefano Rosa, a specialist lawyer in this field, editor of the founding documents of Slow Music, Riccardo Carnovalini, hiker and writer, Dr. Luigi Pagano, coordinator of the Lombard prison system, Furio Zucco, doctor, expert in the organisation of rescue services / emergencies at major events.
The Ethics Committee, chaired by Luigi Pagano, is one of the most charismatic and respected figures in the prison administration of justice and is currently the coordinator of the Lombard prison system. Carlo Petrini, founder and president of Slow Food, Stefano Mancuso, world-renowned scientist, currently director of the International Laboratory of Plant Neurobiology (LINV), Dr. Cristina Perilli, systemic psychotherapist and addiction expert, Philippe Daverio, art critic and writer, have joined the group.
In order to achieve its goals, Slow Music has to involve more and more interested and motivated people in addition to the founders' commitment. We close with a videotape in which "Puma di Lambrate" Fabio Treves explains his Slow Music concept, and with a photo of the founders of Slow Music on the Politecnico stage.
