Leonore OrchesterOrchester Leonore - Pistoiese Promusica Foundation
Founded in 2014 by the Fondazione Pistoiese Promusica as an expression of the precise idea of making music together as an act of authentic exchange, the orchestra brings together excellent musicians from renowned chamber music circles and with experience gained in major international orchestras (including the Lucerne Festival Orchestra, Berliner Philharmoniker, Orchestra del Teatro alla Scala, Accademia di Santa Cecilia, Mahler Chamber Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra of Europe, Mozart, Chamber Orchestra, Sydney Symphony Orchestra, Sydney Symphony Orchestra, Accademia di Santa Cecilia).
Since its inception, the Orchestra Leonore has earned the attention of the musical world at national level for the extraordinary energy and naturalness of its interpretations and for the joyful understanding between musicians ("What looked like a utopia, a group of (beautiful) people has become reality"). Since her second year Leonore has been invited as a guest in several important Italian concert seasons.
Together with the orchestra of Leónore soloists like Isabelle Faust, Alban Gerhardt, Gabriela Montero, Olli Mustonen, Nemanja Radulovic, Baiba Skride and many others have performed. From the 2017-2018 season, the musicians of the orchestra will be involved in "Floema": a chamber music project that will run parallel to the symphony season and through which the music of art will reach unusual places.
The Floema project involves cooperation with all the important cultural realities of the city and province, but also with hospitals, prisons, schools and projects in cooperation with amateur music groups active in the region and with pupils from music schools.
