A Carroponte con Dropkick Murphys & Flogging Molly!
A warm evening in July in Carroponte, just outside Milan, welcomes a party with the taste of Klee with the return of the beloved Dropkick Murphys to Italy, accompanied by Flogging Molly. An excellent environment for the audience begins to see immediately when the Italians Uncle Bard & The Bastards enter the stage, without giving the impression of being Irish, these guys manage to pay homage to the pure Irish tradition.
The biggest Italian rock/Ireland group, which does not support the Americans Dropkick Murphys for the first time, is going on stage after a few months after the release of Handmade!, their last album, which is completely composed, produced and arranged by the group. The sun is almost setting behind the structure of the bridge girder as Dave King and his staff go on stage and create a performance of almost 20 songs of pure energy.
Among them the popular Devil's Dance Floor, The Seven Deadly Sins, Rebels Of The Sacred Heart, Drunken Lullabies, mixed in a screaming setlist with songs from their latest album Live Is Good, which was released just over a month ago, like the intro of There Is Nothing Left and Reptiles (We Woke Up).
It' s shortly after 22:30 when the long awaited moment has come: the Al Barr led group goes on stage. More than an hour of pure Celtic punk for the Boston based group, which has given their supporters as much fun as emotion with the unforgettable Rose Tattoo, The State Of Massachussets, Johnny, I Hardly Known Ya and the beloved I'm Shipping Up To Boston combined with tracks from 11 Shorts Stories Of Pain & Glory as Rebel With A Cause, released in January 2017 on Born & Bred Records.
The last comment is a farewell to all the Italian viewers who were invited to share the stage with the American sextet, to finish a party with the song Until The Next Time, because in the end "we all had a good time".
